Got questions? Let’s talk

What is the meaning of it all? There are not many places in our lives where we can ask a question like this. With our busy lives we hardly ever get a chance to ask such a basic question. It comes up every now and then, during rare moments of quiet, but almost always the stresses of our lives pull us away from our thoughts before we can think of a possible answer. We may even decide that there really is no answer to questions such as “What is the purpose of life?” “Is there a God?” “What does it mean to live a good life?”

This is why our parish offers ALPHA. ALPHA is where the big questions in life can be discussed and even debated in a laid-back environment. Each week ALPHA attendees share a meal, view a video presentation, and engage in small group discussions. No opinions are out-of-bounds or off-limits. People of all backgrounds are invited to share their thoughts and beliefs.

The presentations given during ALPHA focus on the answers that Christianity proposes to the big questions of life. At ALPHA we do not preach or urge attendees to convert to Christianity we merely present Christianity from a number of different perspectives. More importantly, ALPHA creates a space where these perspectives can be examined and discussed without any judgments.

Many ALPHA graduates have made lasting friendships during their ALPHA experience. Many have benefited from a fresh perspective on life or have simply enjoyed the good food and good company.

Some people have had their lives changed and that is why we warmly invite you to come and see what ALPHA is about.
